Excellent hat for men or women I bought this women’s hat even though I am a man because I have hard time finding a mans hat that is small enough to fit me. This hat is very well made and does an excellent job of keeping the sun of your face and neck. With a little Scotch Guard it works well in light rain also. Like another reviewer mentioned this hat does run small and only the only adjustment is from small to smaller. So if you have a large head this hat probably won’t work for you. Recommend “Sloggers” for small to medium heads My female head circumference approximately 20 1/2″ just above ears. If pull outside toggle drawstring will fit without causing crinkles/creases brim. I tried Camo Coil Bonnie hat Summer Sun Cap and Friendly Swede Boonie Sun hat 2-pack If pulled outside toggle drawstring as tight as possible will fit but then crinkles/creases brim all around, not wearable. Not a very large brim but okay for most light activity in the sun and it fits my small head!!! I have a hard time finding hats small enough for my head as I measure about 21 1/4″. This was an inexpensive 100% cotton option for more casual use at the beach, hiking or on a boat and it fit with a minor adjustment to the back without much bunching of the fabric. A huge plus a I had tried other nicer brands with adult sizing that were too large and caused unattractive bunching.
