Great Camp Axe This camp axe is a great size for travel. Lightweight and has a good balance to it. Excited to take it out for a spin on my next trip. Sharp too.

When it comes to chopping it is decent for its size and weight but not great. A fiskars x7 or Schrade scaxe2 will chop … I’m a hatchet junkie so I had to purchase this one from SOG. It is small and lightweight build quality is decent. When it comes to chopping it is decent for its size and weight but not great. A fiskars x7 or Schrade scaxe2 will chop circles around this hatchet. Both of them will do approximately double the work of the SOG with the same number of swings. The SOG is too light and the handle is too short, it’s more of a utility tomahawk than a hatchet. I like it, it will stay in my collection but…
