The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools FF25-CP Escape is the perfect size knife for an everyday carry but still has a tremendous amount of capability with its one hand-opening blade and extra emergency tools. Made of 9Cr18MoV steel with an attractive hardcase black finish, the 3.4-inch partially serrated, folding blade has a clip point shape that allows a quicker and deeper puncture upon insertion and makes quick work of any task. This knife features a Lockback to provide additional safety while the knife’s being used in the open position. The ergonomically contoured and well balanced handle has a black finish and is made of anodized aluminum that will fit comfortably in your hand. Great Knife I originally purchased one of these knives for me, I’m a police officer, and I carry it as part of my duty gear. This knife has all the features I was looking for, and at a great price. I purchased a second one for my wife, who is also in law enforcement. Unfortunately, her knife was so stiff that she cannot open it with just one hand using the thumb stud (I couldn’t either). After the blade was opened she was then unable to apply enough pressure on the Lockback to get the blade to close. The…
Reasonably good – 3.5 to 4 stars I give this 4 (really, 3.5 stars) for a few reasons:
New pocket clip design is poor and broke after only a couple months. Old knife that is years old still has pocket clip, no issue I liked this knife enough I ordered it again. The first one I had for several years. The last one I ordered in Dec 2015. Here’s the reason I like it enough to own a second time but only give it 3 stars. The pocket clip is of a different design that what is shown in the pictures. After having the new knife for only three months the belt clip has broken off. This is due to a larger opening for the revised SOG outline on the clip. When the old one got snagged while in my pocket it never bent out…
