The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools F06PN-CP Fasthawk is faster, lighter, more agile, and easier to carry than its sibling the Tactical Tomahawk and used for chopping, cutting, hammering and more. Made of 420 stainless steel with an attractive polished finish, the 2-inch axe blade is designed to fight corrosion and impact damage to insure the strongest integrity. Engineered with SOG’s philosophy of blending the best tools into one unique multi-tool, turn the cutting edge around and use the blunt edge for hammering or the chiseled edge for extraction, while the side hammer checkering insures precision placement when swinging. Just Shy of Perfect This axe from SOG is a real beauty. It is crafted so well and looks so nice, I was hesitant to take it out to the woods and smash and cut things with it. But since I’m not going to keep it for a display on my wall, even though tempted, that’s what I did. I smashed through a concrete block with little effort using the pointed end. A burning question among buyers, including myself before buying, was “why buy the polished model?”

M. Kreidler says:
