Blade Specifications
The Fielder G-10 folding knife has an overall length of 7.8 inches and a 3.3-inch blade made of 7Cr17 stainless steel. This stainless steel is high grade with excellent edge retention and rust resistance. The blade of this knife also has a straight edge that cuts cleanly and sharpens easily.
Ergonomic, Lightweight Design
It’s hard to make precise cuts if your knife doesn’t fit comfortably in your hand. That’s why this knife’s handle is ergonomically contoured. Great for Personal Protection… A Bit Large for EDC I bought the SOG Fielder for self defense when I have to walk through a problem area at night. I especially like what I call the “shark nose” dip in the blade, which adds to the appearance of a tactical fighter. This is not a small folder (about 7.5″ unfolded), and probably won’t fit your idea of an EDC. My knife arrived very sharp out of the box and it’s tank solid, however I do have one complaint. The thumb stud should have been about 2mm closer to the knife handle, so when the…
FANTASTIC KNIFE, WORTH EVERY CENT !!! This knife is simply Awesome
Decent knife for every day use/EDC. I purchased my Fielder at Wally World for $20 about four months ago. I have used it to open cardboard boxes, slice fiberglass insulation from ductwork and trim my nails. I’ve used it to remove decals from the side of a box truck. I’ve even used it as a throwing knife against the sides of trees for fun. As you can see from the pictures I’ve uploaded, the chrome finish as well as the blade have become heavily scratched, as you might expect. The blade has a chip in it, probably from scratching off…
