JUNK! Bought this in August 2016 (not even a year ago) and have only used this thing a couple times and the pliers have already broken. Wasn’t doing anything but removing some license plates off a car and the thing snapped! Dunno if I got a faulty one or something. It looks cool and what not, but probably don’t buy this if you’re looking for something to do any real work with. Super disappointed. Couldn’t find a “message seller” on this to try and get a replacement. Guess I’ll try and…
Disappointing performance from a super cool toy The plier deploy mechanism didn’t reliably stay in the deployed mode. The internal mechanism relies on a ridge riding in a slot but would constantly jump out causing the plier head to stick partly closed. I really wanted to like this tool as its a super cool toy, but it doesn’t hold to the standard of quality shown in the more mainstream SOG product lineup. It was regretfully returned
SO COOL!…. but…. So much fun to fidget with and obviously really cool, but unfortunately its clear that these qualities were the focus of developing this tool. 1. When using the phillips head (probably the most commonly used tool) you pull out the tool then collapse the pliars to use the tool. Then re-deploy the pliars when you’re done to bed the driver. Problem is the pliars will not re-deploy when a tool is out because the pliar head gets caught under the can opener.
