The SOG Specialty Knives & Tools F06TN-CP Fasthawk is faster, lighter, more agile, and easier to carry than its sibling the Tactical Tomahawk and used for chopping, cutting, hammering and more. Made of 420 stainless steel with an attractive hardcased black finish, the 2-inch axe blade is designed to fight corrosion and impact damage to insure the strongest integrity. Engineered with SOG’s philosophy of blending the best tools into one unique multi-tool, turn the cutting edge around and use the blunt edge for hammering or the chiseled edge for extraction, while the side hammer checkering insures precision placement when swinging. The head of the axe is mounted to the ballistic polymer handle with heavy-duty bolts and a steel ferrule. The handle has a no-slip grip and will fit comfortably in your hands. A ballistic nylon sheath with a snap closure and belt loop attachment is included for safety and easy portability. The F06TN-CP has an overall length of 12.5-inches and weight of 19-ounces. Design could be better The blade / business part is sharp. The issue I have is the handle. You know how some hatchets or tomahawks seem to have a slight curve, or larger knob at the end..the way a baseball bat does?Well with this thing, unless I choke up I feel like it will just slip out of my hand, unless I am wearing some type of leather gloves or something. The handle is some short of plastic I believe, and quite slick even though it is ridged. And I wish it were thicker. Its pretty thin. So that…
One tough little tomahawk! Loved it as soon as I got it out of the package. It is well built, sturdy, and has a surprising wight to it while still being very small. Fast Hawk – Smaller, Faster and just as nice as the original I’ve had the larger SOG Tactical Tomahawk for some time now, and it has become one of my most used woods tools. The larger F01T Tactical Tomahawk is well made, holds a good edge, and holds up to my (almost daily) heavy use very well.
