Reliable light source I’m not a camper, but want a good, reliable light source in case of a power outage. This lantern seems to be well-built and does a much better job of lighting an area than a candle (fire hazard!) or regular flashlight. I did notice, however, that the difference between the low and high settings isn’t that marked. One thing I really appreciated is the one-page instruction sheet actually included the approximate times it takes to charge by battery or by solar – no guessing games! I would…
Works well when plugged in Yes, there are multiple ways this can be used and charged but they all don’t work as they should. When the light is fully charged or plugged in it puts out a good amount of light but as the batteries go so does the brightness. The hand crank is more of a pain than it is functional but I guess it would work if you really needed it to. The batteries don’t last that long so the system is best when plugged in.
Love the Lamp, great light when needed I like the lamp a lot. It has a nice weight to it and is very easy to use. We use it at night in the backyard and we can see, give or take, about 10 feet in all directions with clarity. Like many of the other reviewers had commented, it is very bright, too bright to look at. We’re going to hang it up above our heads to avoid the glare.
