This Evaporative Air Cooler, Humidifier, and Fan is versatile, lightweight and economical. The Cooler easily rolls from room to room for use anywhere in your house or office. This Air Cooler shoots a stream of air with oscillating louvers, to evenly distribute refreshing cool air. Can also be used as a fan or humidifier if temperature is not an issue. The remote control allows you to easily change settings. The Air Cooler works by endothermic reaction (a reaction that consumes heat), so this evaporative Air Cooler sucks air through a wick saturated with water. As the air flows through the wick, some of the water evaporates into the air, consuming the heat that was in the air. An air stream is then blown out the front of the unit and is considerably cooler than the current room temperature! This is not an air conditioner and therefore uses much less energy. The unit works well in dry climates; not very effective in areas with high humidity as the unit utilizes water to cool. Great For The Price, Cheapest Around! Works nice for one big sunroom (24×16′) in my house on a day where it is in mid-80’s with @50% humidity. Kind of wondering how many stars to give it? It costs about 1/4 the price of the Honeywell unit it replaced. Honeywell unit was way better, could cool 4 rooms. Evaporative cooling is not as effective, Honeywell has adjustability, this unit does not. Ice tray works well. Fan works great. When I get Honeywell unit back working this unit would likely work well in our big bedroom (16×16′), it is…

Not a magic substitute for A/C I read so many reviews on this and decided to get it anyway because I live in the southwest desert. First of all, you must live in the right climate for this to work (do your homework on swamp coolers before buying one!). Second of all, this is not an air-conditioner, you cannot expect it to work like one! I have read a lot of funny reviews of people trying to cool down an entire 98 degree room with this. It is merely a supplemental device that is more energy efficient. It is not a magic…

Works well, but upgrade the cooling pad first! This thing does its job. It’s not AC but it does noticeably cool the room. A few things I would have improved would be a sealed water compartment. If you take off the back panel with the two screws on the top you can open it up and see the tank is opened on top and when you move it too aggressively it can leak water. Another thing I would improve is the cooling pad included. It’s pretty poor and is a piece of fabric like something you would see on basketball shorts. With such a thin pad…
