About Spyderco
Thinking beyond established knife industry practices has allowed Spyderco to introduce new innovations, including one-hand opening, serrations on a folder, and a clip to attach a knife to a pocket. Spyderco remains dedicated to researching and developing fresh, improved, and better-performing materials with function and reliability, and its unique cutlery line is a result of designing ergonomic, functional tools.

The company is keen on rigorous product testing, and examines edge retention with a CATRA machine, looks for rust development with Q-FOG, checks the force needed to open and close a knife, and analyzes numerous other technical details. Excellence Knife, Well Worth the Money. First Impressions:First let me say I am a Kershaw, Zero Tolerance type of guy, but I have seen so many people rave about Spyderco that I decided to take a look at the Tenacious. Some consider this to be one of the top EDC blades under $50 bucks. So what the hell I pulled the trigger and got one.Man I am glad I did, the feel of this baby is sweet, the ergonomics of the knife is excellent and it just fits my hands like a glove. It’s really a good size for EDC pocket carry…

Good and tough daily work knife. I’ve owned two Spyderco Tenacious knives for about a year now. I’ve taken both on extended camping trips and carried both as EDC knives. Neither knife is perfect – one had a minute blade deformation that I fixed when I resharpened the blade; on the other, the blade is a bit askew in the closed position. For a sub-$40 knife, this is perfectly acceptable and does not affect performance in any way. Both knives held up just fine to all tasks – cutting sticks/twigs, sharpening wooden tent…

A Quality Workhorse of a Knife I’ve owned a few good knives, and this is up there at the top of that list. The blade comes sharp out of the box, and with a little TLC, this thing takes and holds an edge better than my Kershaw Blur (which is considered one of the top EDC knives out there, for the record). It is quite thick in comparison to most folders I’ve carried — thick enough I can’t fit my hand in my pocket easily when carrying it (granted, I’m a 6ft-5 man, so I have rather large hands to begin with). It’s solidly…
