I don’t always buy a compass, but, when I do, I buy a Staedtler. This compass has been loyal and true for 3 months, and it is showing no signs of wear and tear yet. Specifically, I use it to draw a lot of geometric mandala designs as a focusing exercise, and I am compulsive about accurate measurements and arcs. This compass has served me very well with consistent and precise measurements. Very high quality tool for the price. Wonderful! I bought this specifically for the Sharpie attachment. The attachment affixes securely and accommodates both fine-tip and standard-tip Sharpies, as well as your personal favorite mechanical pencil or pen. The squeeze-release adjustments are quite nice.
