A beautiful set. I love the excellent quality of this compass set. Plus, I truly appreciate the wonderful quality case that Staedtler designed to store the tools. Nothing gets lost and I can transport the items. This set, combined with the larger Staedtler Mars 552 (comfort compass), is a great combination of tools.
not good for precision measurement which is their intended use This is a second or maybe a reject from factory and a shame for a manufacturer as Staedtler with a name and reputation for quality. The additional leg for the compass doesn’t fit right has a lot of play and that by itself makes this a reject. the points in the dry one:one was barely tightened and the other is ok. Be Careful This is a good beginning compass set for drafting, but the only issue is, none of these have locks on them except for the small one! If you’re looking to create perfect circles, thats the only thing to watch out for. Quality product, just a less useful design.
