It’s adequate, about what you’d expect. It keeps food somewhat warm for about 4 hours. It’s better than a traditional thermos, but by no means perfect. It’s good enough for my kids to take food for lunch that I heat for them, since their school doesn’t have a microwave.

Keeps food warm for a long time. I bought this for my son. He leaves for school before 7 am and his lunch period is at 12:55. His old thermos did not keep food hot for that long. Today I preheated this one with hot water, and then I heated chili to hot. He loved it. It is the first time in all his school years that food was warm enough by lunch.

a hot mess I purchased this thermos to bring hot lunch with me to work. It kept the soup hot for several hours.
