i like stansport and had have good experience with them i like stansport and had have good experience with them. this axe sucked, bad handle. 12th swing head flew off the epoxy worked. the handle failed . The handle was not grain aligned properly when it was made. the way it let go was right along the grain.
Very great Axe. I followed the instructions on the axe … Very great Axe. I followed the instructions on the axe head to preserve the handle and it works great.
Poorly made. I thought this was a great deal! Except… Before the first use, I soaked it as per instructions and the metal rusted in only a couple hours. Then I went to use it. The part where I thought the handle was painted over was actually an epoxy plug, and the handle didn’t stick into it really at all. Dangerously unusable after 5 logs chopped; there was no way to keep the handle attached to the ax head. Returned and purchased something more expensive but far higher quality.
