Amazon Customer says:

Good quality and easy to use I received my Starke Ferro Rod Fire Starter today, and I have to say so far I’m quite impressed. I not only like the fact that it’s small and easy to hold/use, but design wise I think it looks pretty cool and it’s made very well. The rope that holds the parts together are uniquely braided in very tight knots. I have actually never used a fire starter before today, so I was a little worried it would take me forever to figure out, but I got it and it works well! I plan on having a bonfire this…

Mas fuego. I’ve used other fire steels that were too thin. Or ones with plastic handles that felt like they were going to break when you picked them up, never mind actually sparking them. This beast isn’t either of those. It’s got a nice, hefty rod and a solid wooden grip to make sure it won’t slip from your hand as you light your fire. The striker has grooves so you can shave some tree bark off a branch to use for tinder – but I prefer to just stuff a bunch of dryer lint into an old prescription bottle…
