Good and bad I bought a second of these after having good success with one I’d ordered before. Both performed well and the price was right. But after only a few weeks a connector on the second one came apart. I had taken good care of it. On the bright side, I can see now the center conductor and braid are copper. Another reviewer said their copy didn’t appear to be copper, but this one clearly is. I’ll probably use the broken one on a future direct solder antenna project. Given the low price and…

Good coax cable Excellent. Love it.Attenuation as follow (actual measures):5MHz: 1.0dB10MHz: 1.7dB50MHz: 1.8dB100MHz: 2.9dB200MHz: 3.7dBBetter results and cheaper than the bulk RG-8x/u sold by the major HAM outlet ;-), plus it comes with good connector correctly installed. I needed 70′ and it was perfect for the use (20m antenna). Will definitely come back for more in the futurep.s.: I use it inside my house in dry/shaded environment. No idea how it would…

NOT COPPER This cable is made of steel or some other ferrous metal. I know this because I can pick it up with a magnet at any point along the wire. It’s an easy google search to find information on how bad RG-8x is when it’s made with metal other than copper. I’ll save you the time, it goes from bad to worse and does it very quickly.I took a chance because of a great price, but you get what you pay for. I returned this cable.
