The HL Series has gone hands free! When your task requires both hands and a bright light with a wide flood beam, reach for the ProTac HL Headlamp. With 540-lumens of blinding light that reaches 172-meters, the ProTac HL Headlamp is the brightest addition to the headlamp series providing 500-lumens on high. It offers the latest in power LED technology, impervious to shock with a 50,000-hour lifetime. The multi-function, push-button Ten-Tap programmable switch allows the user to select one of three different programs. LED Solid State Power Regulation provides maximum light output throughout battery life. The housing is crafted from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum with an anodized finish. Built for durability, the ProTac HL Headlamp features a gasket sealed glass lens, is IPX4 rated for water resistant operation, and 1-meter impact resistance tested. Packaged with an elastic headband and a rubber headband for helmet mounting. Serialized for positive identification. Powered by 2 3-Volt CR123A lithium batteries with a shelf life of 10-years. Dimensions: 1.20-Inch face cap diameter, 3.66-Inch wide, and 2.60-Inch maximum depth (including headband mounting plate). Weighs 6.6-Ounces with batteries (included with purchase).

Great Head Lamp! This headlamp is awesome, super bright, and very rugged! I would certainly recommend it. I use this for household repairs where I don’t have my side kick to hold my flashlight for me, I take it with me deer hunting, and also fishing.Buy it, you certainly wont regret it.

Buy it you will like it. I live in the interior of Alaska. My homestead is far off the beaten path, The only way in or out is by foot, quad or snow machine. The winter months bring with them, many hours of incredibly long dark nights. This is an area that will kill a person in the winter. Therefore I prefer high quality lights. This is my second Streamlight Pro Tac headlamp. I Prefer to have a backup on my gear. Spending the night in the woods with animals that eat people is not always a good thing. The Pro Tac…

Good sturdy headlamp Good sturdy headlamp. This all aluminim headlamp seems sturdy and well made. The 3 lighting level switch is a little trickey until you master it, no big deal. Plenty bright. A bit on the heavy side, thats to be expected for an all metal headlamp. Uses 2 CR123 batteries that are a bit expensive unless you buy them by the dozen and then they are relatively inexpensive. I was able to adapt a Surefire snap on red lens filter that is important for military or other night ops. I beleive you…
