Pretty satisfactory item… This hat works well–the only downside is that when I take it off, the hooks that attach the straps to the hat get caught in my hair. Someday, I’ll have to just cut the hooks off and sew the straps to the hat, which would make them unremovable. Otherwise, it’s a lightweight hat with a moldable brim–which I’ve been looking for for a long time.
I look fabulous Love the hat. Fits great, looks good. I folded it up in the back to show the lining and pinned the bow on there to hold it. The brim is wide enough to shield my entire face (most sun hats leave my face exposed below nose level). The only reason I took off a star is that, because the hat is reversible (I don’t plan to reverse it) the strap is removable, and the attachments for the strap are very stiff plastic, extremely difficult to manipulate, very frustrating. I had to ask my husband to help…
Sun shines through fabric Attractive hat. However, I got the khaki and when I tried it on, immediately noticed that the sun shines through the fabric and onto my face, so much so that I felt the need to put sunglasses on. That would suggest that the sun protection factor is not what they claim, which diminishes any value of this hat. I will probably keep it anyway, it is nice looking and I donât feel like sending it back, but perhaps a darker color would do a better job, or really just a different hat.
