DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE A 12 FEET STAND (regardless of what manufacturer video said) This hammock in itself is fine, I have owned the single version for several years and loved it. I rate it 2 stars solely because it will not fit a 12 feet stand DESPITE the fact that the manufacturer has a video online clearly showing 2 adults laying down in one of those and the video clearly states: “12 feet stand” in the caption. I measured my single (suitable for 12 feet stand) hammock and the double wide is the SAME LENGTH. So why did this hammock stretch all the way to the ground…
Good Hammock for the money I like the hammock. As a professional lounger I would highly recommend using the hammock sideways rather than the classic way. The ropes don’t seem to pull apart so much that way and it is a lot easier to get in and out of. Also, make sure your trees are far apart! I had the perfect spot picked out but it ended up too short for this large of a hammock. When you are using it, the spaces in between ropes do get bigger so if you want a tight weave I would recommend looking at a different style…
way stretchy rope Very stretchy rope, you can almost fall through in some spots as it seems to have weaving???? issues. Our ten year old nephews bum was falling through as the weaving would expand as it stretched. I had to mount it high so that when he was in it ( he is a skinny little fellow) he wouldn’t drag the ground with his backside. Now that I know this, next time I will spend the money and get a better quality hammock. But for now, the kids can use and abuse it, and it won’t break my heart or my wallet.
