I did this experiment twice with great results. These are great socks. I wear a mens size 8.5-9 shoe. I purchased the medium because I don’t like it when my socks bunch up in my shoe. I washed them and they got real small. However they stretch right back. They fit perfect. My feet usually get sweaty and smells. I live in Hawaii and work in an air conditioned office.
