Good gift ! I bought this for a Christmas present so unfortunately I canât comment yet on how successful one can be with actually producing fire, but it looks high-quality, comes with instructions and also the kindling material.
Great kit! Being a practitioner of primitive skills I was surprised at first to see this kit! I’ve used other similar bow drills and this one should work. I didn’t get a chance to try it yet, but all the pieces are good quality and if nothing else I’ll use the fireboard for sure. It would be nice if they listed what wood the spindle and fireboard are.
Best drill kit for price This drill kit arrived in three days to Alaska! I watched several YouTube videos before it arrived so I was all schooled up before it arrived. It came packaged in a box in a box so no damage. The kit was already assembled so all I had to do was take it outside and get with it. I had a coal started in about a minute or so! Unbelievable! This works just like on YouTube. I didn’t even have to adjust the string or anything. I searched for the least expensive kit and this one gets 5 stars from me…
