Lightweight, short term use I had a set like this in the 80’s. This is not that set. I know that the cloud of memory may include bias but these seem pretty flimsy. If you need something to send to summer camp and toss afterwards I would buy this again. I wouldnt consider them for long term duty in my camp box though.

Correct model not displayed The mess kit for sale here is not what is shown. See Texsport’s website for the correct model. What I received is the pan with the rubberized handle which doesn’t seem to be that much different until you realize that it is heavier than the pan itself. Tipping is guaranteed unless you are cooking on a completely flat surface (I.e. ground). And as everyone else here has said, the kit does not package itself tight. This is especially problematic when you hear it constantly rattling…

Cheaply Made, Damaged, Nested Pieces Do Not Lock Together I like to believe you get what you pay for. I didn’t have the highest expectations for these sets but I did expect better than what I got. I ordered 5 sets for my family of 5. After going through 2 sets I stopped and repacked the shipping carton for return to Amazon. All sets: Boxes were very thin and damaged, offering no protection to what was inside. All sets: Sure the pieces nest together an the frypan handle swings over the top of the nest but is does NOT lock the pieces together…
