As an Electrical Engineer I would recommend against using this item Strong scorched smell when charging on both units ordered. It did however function. I opened it and found the battery to be defective with substantial corrosion on negative terminal, suspect some shorting. As an Electrical Engineer I would recommend against using this item.
the company should recall this product I would give 0 star if i can. This unit is not safe. It was overheat and burn. It want melted. Luckily i was home, if not i CANNOT imagine what will happen
Do not buy this In the beginning ,the blackout buddy created light and all was good.Then one day I came through the den and smelled an odor of something burning like an electrical fire. I followed the smell to the blackout buddy and the light had activated but my receptacle was fine and working .The back of the light had a spot on it that had melted about the size of a quarter. I won’t risk my house by plugging one of these things in again and I absolutely do not recommend this product. It must have some…
