Good for history, otherwise not that great Really not a book for trip planning, mostly about history of things, lots of background, not helpful as a tour guide
Mountie In Your Pocket This is the perfect tour book to take on vacation to the Canadian Rockies. It’s like having a Mountie in your pocket. It answers all the questions that you have and then some. Full of colorful pictures and easy to read and understand. Highly recommend to anyone going to the Canadian Rockies or for someone who’s been there and wants to reminisce.
Really enjoyed all the information in this book Really enjoyed all the information in this book. It’s a “man’s” guide book in that it has all kinds of information included beyond things to do like geology, history, animals, lots of local tidbits. Missing some recommendations of the “best” for those of us with limited time. I was worried it might be outdated, but most of the information has not changed or changed much.
