The Fire Starter Sessions is an apathy-kicking, integrity-infusing guide to defining success on your own terms.

As the creator of DanielleLaPorte.com – deemed “the best place online for kick-ass spirituality”, Danielle LaPorte’s straight-talk life-and-livelihood sermons have inspired over one million people. Bold but empathetic, she reframes popular self-help and success concepts:

Life balance is a myth, and the pursuit of it is causing us more stress then the craving for balance itself.
Being well-rounded is overrated. When you focus on developing your true strengths, you enter your mastery zone.
Screw your principles (they might be holding you back).

We have ambition backwards. Getting clear on how you want to feel in your life + work is more important than setting goals. It’s the most potent form of clarity that you can have, and it’s what leads to true fulfillment.

A really good book if you don’t have clarity on what to do next. I loved the questions asked in this book as it made to think about what I truly want and important to achieve in my life. It was a guide for me to rethink my priorities and what to do to achieve them in a step-by-step manner without someone telling me what to do. I also learned that I should direct my goals and priorities, not anyone else.

This is a great book that really gave me motivation to define what … This is a great book that really gave me motivation to define what my passions are and how to pursue them successfully. It has reflective worksheets at the end of every “session” that help you get clarity on the steps you need to take to achieve your dreams! Written with a very relatable, encouraging voice, I came away with a better idea of how to make the world a better place by taking advantage of my strengths. Will definitely return to this book in the future. Thank you Danielle!

Fun without being silly. Witty without being asinine. Inspiring! I read several of the reviews after I bought the book but before the book arrived. I am 42 years old, and a veteran of self-help. I began my self-help journey when my last child was born when I was 26 years old. During that journey, I built my life from a trailer-trash person living in chaos to the Mother of the Year Award-receiving, self-trained entrepreneur I became. As my children became grown and then gone, the things I identified myself with, the labels I placed upon myself, the…
