The side pockets for me are important and this backpacks are pretty deep and flexible… I use this backpack for work, it fits my gym cloths as well as my lunch and work stuff. The only thing that bugs me is the straps on the side above the side pockets tend to get in the way when i try opening the smaller pocket all the way.
