This is a very very good closed cell pad This is a very very good closed cell pad. Light, well worth the fact that it is a little bulky. Actually helps in the cold, will not get wet, so far seems to be holding up well.

Nice mat It’s 1/4 inch thicker than the solite. Some people make a stink about it-í think it’s worth the extra comfort and warmth. Compared to an inflatable it offers the peace of mind of no flats. I am planning to trim mine to torso length and a few slim cuts to make it accordion foldable. I honestly prefer this to my exped except when it’s snowing.

Best for car camping applications vice backpacking I am certain this sleeping pad would have performed exceptionally well in the cold as a ground insulating layer under my Exped Downmat UL sleeping pad. I decided to return because of the size when rolled up. As a closed cell foam, it is large and didn’t fit on the outside of the pack well enough for me.
