Dribble cup – bad design On the up side, it keeps my coffee very hot and does not appear to leak as long as you keep the cover on. However, if you like to take the cover off to taste the coffee, you will end up dribbling coffee all over yourself. The problem seems to be that the seal between the metal liner and the black plastic lip is no good. Coffee gets between the liner and the lip while you are drinking, and then seeps out to the outside of the cup and dribbles all over you. This was a problem the very first…

Not as good as the old Element design Though this Element fits in newer car drink holders (the old Element does not fit most new cars) it does not keep hot drinks as hot as the old Element. Drinks cool off much faster in this one. Not sure why this is so, but am guessing it’s due to the total reconfiguration. I will be giving these away and am thanking God I stocked up on the old Element cups.

this mug works just fine, and I would have given it 5 stars … As an insulating container, this mug works just fine, and I would have given it 5 stars if it were not for its fatal design flaw: There is a small but noticeable gap between the top of the inner metal lining and the plastic collar that forms the top of the mug and ties the handle into it. Every time you take a sip, your beverage runs into this gap, and a few drops dribble out from the underside of the plastic collar and run down the side of the mug.
