These are great hiking socks These are great hiking socks. Thick to help keep blisters at bay and moisture wicking to keep your feet from getting all gross and sweaty. High ankle for added support and to keep your boots from rubbing on the back of your ankle. However, I found they weren’t overly cooling. My feet felt pretty toasty throughout my hikes. I bought another pair of socks so I’d have a spare. They’re very nice! I’m probably hooked. Bought some Merrell hiking boots and wanted to pair them with a good pair of socks. The Merrell’s are comfortable, but paired with these socks, they’re wonderful. The tongue of the Merrell’s are slightly uncomfortable. These socks have padding on top which eliminated that problem.
