This high quality and durable grappling hook from TI-EDC can be used in outdoor climbing activities and wilderness survival and adventure activities. It is one of the essential equipments for outdoor enthusiasts.

The hook claw reaches the highest level of soft hardness (maximum hardness of 39) by using the oil quenching process and hence provides extreme operating reliability. The claws can expand and collapse and it makes the hook very easy to carry. The Chrome plating (black coating) makes the hook less likely to rust and last longer, and certainly makes it look much nicer!

How to unfold the claws:
1. Hold the claws and rotate the handle clockwise till the claws getting loose
2. Release the claws manually
3. Rotate the handle counter-clockwise to lock the claws

Compact, light wt, easy to store & toss/throw. Great quality for the price! This item is small, compact & perfect for throwing a line out as some grappling hooks are to bulky and heavy. However, it does have a weight limit & so I would not use this item for serious mountain climbing… where you want something made out of titanium and will cost at lot more and then again, how much is your life worth? Thus, I will strongly recommend for camping, fishing and the like (non-threatening life situations).

I only tightened it ‘snug-tight’ – by hand. I don’t know if I did something wrong, if I tightened it more than I…

I’M LIKE THE NINJAS IN MY CHINESE CARTOONS GRAPPLING HOOKMy family and some of my less cool friends all doubted me, saying things like, “what a waste of money” and “you should save that money for college”.From my vantage point upon the abandoned arby’s restaurant that I had climbed via grapple, I knew they were wrong.
