made extremely well with what looks like quality material Hard to review : ordered 2 pairs, one an 8 wide and one an 8.5 wide. These boots are very stiff leather, such that you would have to do a lot of walking to soften them up, in my opinion. I was planning to wear with medium weight hiking socks. I tried on the 8 wide, right foot only, because that is my “problem” foot – arthritis and broken toe.. I ordered these shoes on a whim since I wanted to compare them to the Timberland Norwood Mid, which I was very impressed with when I tried them on recently at a local outdoors store. I just bought some replacement ones because the soles were wearing out. Best boots I’ve ever worn, great ankle support and good for hikes. The longest I’ve worn them at once was 12 miles, no issues. Boot is fully waterproof.
