Top-quality poles at a fraction of the price of the big names I had the budget to buy a pair of Black Diamond aluminum poles, but after seeing the positive reviews of this brand, and at half the price, I thought I’d give these poles a shot. Great price for decent quality These poles fit the bill if you are looking for something more compact than the standard telescoping variety. Because of the design, the portion of the poles that connect together have to be constructed of more robust material than is used in the telescoping variety. As a result, these can never be as light as a telescoping set. If collapsed size is critical to you, this is just an issue you will have to deal with. Good poles, but problems with the lock mechanism Good poles, both the feel and the concept. But after only one month, I’ve had problems with the locking mechanism (of course, 3 days after the Amazon return period ended).
