Introducing the Überleben Leicht. Our smallest and lightest fire starter yet. Weighing in at less than 1oz (0.8oz), there’s no real excuse to venture anywhere without one. Is the Leicht a heavy duty fire starting work-horse? No. Unless you’re the horse working. This is a fire redundancy. Because your fire kit should be distributed across many places — not just an Altoid tin. Striking a short 1″ rod isn’t the most efficient way to start a fire. And we designed it that way intentionally. Super light. Super minimal. Always on you, in the event you need it.

Product Features

  • ULTRALIGHT DESIGN – Clean and simple. Have your tools on hand to start a fire in any situation.Includes mini ferrocerium rod, serrated ring scraper, and 34″ of mil-spec 550 paracord lanyard for neck carry. This 5/16″ x 1″ mini ferro rod toggle lasts up to 12,000 strikes
  • HIGHEST QUALITY FIRESTEEL AVAILABLE – At 1″ long, the mini chunk of ferrocerium will ignite a 5,500º F shower of sparks at any altitude, in any weather condition – rain, shine, snow, or fallout. The higher temperature spark is more effective at starting fires and lighting stoves in any weather & at any altitude
  • A SURVIVAL TOOL FOR WHEREVER YOU GO – Perfect travel size for backpacking, hiking, camping, hunting, fishing, boy scouts, BBQ, and everyday emergency preparedness. Never forget to pack your fire starter ever again
  • PREMIUM QUALITY – The sharp spine of the ring scraper is far superior to the commonly used washer in most fire starter necklaces. And to back it all up we offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY
  • QUICK CLASP RELEASE – The Leicht has a quick release clasp for safety should you need to remove it for any reason. The paracord is very strong and won’t otherwise break free if you get caught. Do you want to shorten your necklace? Simply “cut & burn” the paracord, and re-attach

This is a nice, lightweight necklace that really works This is a nice, lightweight necklace that really works. I carry around a bic lighter daily, but this is great as a backup fire source if I was ever in a pinch. Also, it’s not really obvious what it is.

wear it forever very stylish, worked first time, Made a fire in the rain. If you sleep in it, the larkshead knot will come loose from the round piece. Simply adjust the larkshead knot around the ferrocium rod and it will be secure

I really like the serration Great idea! I really like the serration, it makes it a little easier to get the sparks going. A little tricky to maneuver every component to the right spot, but once you get the hang of it, fire! I love to give these as gifts!
