The Bearcat 880 CHR CB radio gives you the clearest reception, strongest transmissions and greatest range. It features a large, easy-to-read display and channel. The illuminated control panel is easy to use in all light conditions. It also has a noise cancelling microphone that cancels out background noise. This CB radio has 40 channel operation and dynamic squelch control and an extra long mic cord. There is a CB/PA switch and it’s even wireless mic compatible. Other features include instant channel 9/19, NOAA Weather channels, radio diagnostics, easy-to-read laser etched keys, and a 6-4 PIN mic adapter.

Works great for close communication Works great for close communication. This is jeep to jeep in the desert. Haven’t tried any thing over 1/4 mile.
Top Quality Handheld CB I had no idea how this would work under the conditions I needed. I pick this up to used with a motorcycle to stay in communication with the other bikes. Found that it worked fine. I was able to communicate between the bikes loud & clear by just talking into the mic. Wasn’t looking for long-distance just communication and it did the job perfectly.
Easy to use Works as designed. Easy to use, but I wish it scanned the channels for active use. Other than that, it is kept in my pickup truck in case of emergencies or when I’m on a highway trip and get bored. Don’t expect a lot of range with the whip antenna… buy the magnetic outside antenna for normal range.
