Vasque build quality in a casual hiker look shoes; small toe box that needs to be worn out a little at first == OVERVIEW ==I have a pair of Basque hiking boots which are actually really durable and fit really well. I’ve tried Keens and Merrels because I like the hiking style shoe for everyday wear. Sadly, they both suck for durability. Keens also have the problem of poor fit for me.Specifically, Merrels tend to start to fall apart after about 6 months. Awesome shoe but order larger I really love these shoes. The style is awesome. The color is great. The bad thing about these shoes is the small toe box. I emailed Vasque to get their opinion on the size shoe that I should get based on several other brands that I currently wear. They suggested that I go with a Men’s 10. The design of these shoes is not that the entire toe box is small but the outside portion wraps in too tightly over your pinkie toes. You have to have the right type of feet for it. 5 stars if not for the narrow front. I watched many youtube videos reviews and read many reviews on Amazon. Thought I read some warning regarding the narrow front part (toes), but I really like the style and color, and I thought I can use it for other casual situation (when not on trail nor hiking). So I order size 11 (1/2 size up). My normal size is 10 1/2.It is a very nice looking shoes, light weight, and very comfortable if not for the toes.
