I haven’t shined it on coyotes yet, but hogs nor deer seem to spook from it. raccoons and foxes see it, but don’t care half the time.

Very Good Light Overall, this is an excellent light at this price point and I would highly recommend it.I bought mine specifically to use as a scanning light while night hunting. When I first used it I was very impressed. My primary light is a much more expensive higher end light. I would guess the VastFire light is about 30-40% the brightness of that light.If used as a primary light, I’d say you with decent optics, you’d be able to confidently ID a species and make a good shot at 100…

My intention was to use the VASTFIRE as a backup. After using all 3, there is no comparison: the VASTFIRE is now my go to light for night hunting and I will be ordering more of them.
