Excellent gift for a Civil Engineer or Surveyor Excellent gift for a Civil Engineer or Surveyor. I use the spirit level for the initial set up of my instruments. The compass and thermometer are good for documenting the general direction and temparure in my field book, and the ruler is good for making sketches.

Good quality -It’s nifty. I don’t have any real use for it, but it’s cool for Victorinox gadget collectors like me.-Four-point glow-in-the-dark compass: glow dots don’t hold much light.-Compass is accurate (magnetic).-Leveler is very useful.-Magnifier is better than the ones that come with certain SAK models.-I like the measuring capability in both in and mm.-Temperature reads hot by about 6 degrees.
