Wagan 14 Liter 12v cooler/warmer is an essential item for anyone who gets hungry or thirsty when driving in their vehicle. It is perfect for family road trips or anyone who drives frequently. Use this 12v cooler/warmer to keep food and beverages cool without messy ice, or keep them warm instead. Its 14 Liter capacity holds up to 12 soda cans, and even standard size water bottles fit inside too. Safely pack healthy snacks like fruit, yogurt and sandwiches. Simply place the cooler either on the floor of your vehicle, or directly on the seat secured with a seat belt. Then plug the 12v adapter into your vehicle’s 12v DC outlet and slide the switch on the back of the cooler to either hot or cold. If hot setting is selected, the interior stays warm and heats up to a maximum of 140 Degree; for cold setting, the interior stays cool and reaches a maximum of 32 Degree-36 Degree F below room temperature. For optimal cooling, pre chill items in the refrigerator to assist the unit to reach the lowest temperature as quickly as possible. Anything left inside the unit will stay cool for some time after the unit has been disconnected from 12v DC outlet or turned off. However, internal temperature will equalize to external surrounding temperature over time. A hot/cold/off switch has indicator lights for quickly viewing which temperature mode is in use. Its extra long 9 foot DC power cord extends to your vehicle’s back seat area, so it can be easily accessible for anyone riding in your vehicle. The built-in shoulder strap allows for easy transport so you can easily take it anywhere you go. Power consumption is 48 watts. It also has a built-in fan and 10A fused plug. An optional AC adapter accessory is available (Wagan item 9903) for additional use in the home, office or hotel (sold separately).

AWESOME – AWESOME – AWESOME So normally I don’t take the time to write out a review, but this product was/is awesome. We had a Honda Odyssey that had a cooler box which basically was the AC blowing into a little box under the center console that kept things cool. When it comes to this cooler, it gets cold – I mean colder than what you would find from a refrigerator at home. It sits in the middle of the captain chairs of our Suburban and gives the kids some extra cup holders as well as something to set stuff on…
Stayed cool in the hot summer This was a perfect cooler for our summer trip. It plugged into the cigarette lighter and kept our drinks and snacks cold the whole ride. It does not have anything to Anchor it so it wobbles around. Stayed relatively cool while the car was not running and It would be nice if it came with a home adapter but you can buy them at Walmart/amazon pretty cheap. We found ours in the clearance section for $5.
What it is, and what it isn’t. First and foremost, this is an insulated cooler not a refrigerator or oven. Notice how the positive reviews say it KEPT items cold/warm and the negative reviews say it didn’t MAKE items cold/warm. They’re both correct. The 12v power amounts to a built in ice pack or warmer that remains cold/warm while it’s powered (and therefore can last longer than a traditional ice pack).
