This would be good for a casual camping trip but not great for … This would be good for a casual camping trip but not great for backpacking. It is pretty bulky and heavy compared to similar products. Doesn’t provide much cushion but retains heat and protects from moisture well. I also find that chunks of it break off pretty easily when brushed against trees and such if you carry it uncovered. It works well enough but ill probably find myself buying a different one eventually.
The mat is a wonderful thickness. However The mat is a wonderful thickness. However, it has a tremendously strong and off-putting odor. I tried airing it out for several days but nothing removed that strong chemical smell. I won’t use it for my kids as I intended. My husband said he’d use it. Otherwise I’d have trashed it.
Thin, not very useful for sleeping. The mat didn’t help much with sleeping. It’s fairly thin and compressible. I really didn’t feel it under my sleeping bag. The packaging said it was a yoga mat.
