Nice quality tool Nice quality tool. This thing has some heft! The day I gave it to my son, we took some leather scraps and made a cover for the hatchet blade. The thing is really sharp and the supplied cover doesn’t cover it at all. No matter – it was fun making the new cover. I would buy another one of these.
This tool is abosultely amazing!! This tool is abosultely amazing!!! As a novice camper I don’t know what I will necessarily need in order to support myself and have a good time. This tool has several needed items. The knife is great for cutting rope and packaging. Then there are two saws for items that can not be cut with the ax. There’s a screw driver, just in case, and a bottle opener, which I ALWAYS forget a bottle opener so this has been a life saver. Then the hammer is great for putting up a tent and for household duties…
Nifty Camping Tool I love this tool! It comes in handy for everything when camping. It is solidly built and will last a long time. After sharpening it, it cuts very well – both knife and axe. It is long enough that the axe/hammer can be swung to be effective. Of course, you won’t be chopping any large logs with the axe but it sure is fun to use for smaller projects.
