Surprisingly sturdy plastic hump mounting system Surprisingly sturdy plastic hump mounting system. The speaker sounds as good as any transceiver radio speaker would. The only negative is the very light gauge wire used with the 3.5 mm plug. Have had to resolder both +/- sides back to the speaker. Plan ahead for placement, plug it in and don’t move around or tug on the wires and you’ll be fine.
solid build, would recommend. Solid build. Speaker is of better quality than expected. Plenty of room underneath to conceal wiring and coax. Enough room next to speaker for 2 rocker switches.
Got it for a 2000 F150 with 60/40 front seats. I wanted a solution that would allow me to mount the radio without having to drill holes in the dash or floor. This is what I was looking for. I can go to 100% stock if I wanted to. However to hold it in place, I have drilled a piece of angle iron to the side of it and attached the angle to one of the dash bolts on the floor in front of it.
