Shorter flight time. These lanterns are great and will work. However, the block of wax that it comes with is smaller than in the past, which means there is not a long flight time. It burns out fast. I have purchased these in the past and the wax block was bigger in size and the lantern flew longer. It is still great to see them float away but they burn out fast.
Practice before using, order extras Used them for New Years. They were everyone’s favorite activity. There was plenty for everyone. They are a little tricky to launch so you need to practice. I recommend using a candle because they take about 1-2 minutes to light. Matches and lighters just can’t hold a flame for that amount of time. It helps if 2 people are working at it. Probably about 25% of them are defective, so plan accordingly. My sons decided it would be fun to knock them out of the sky with some roman candles. They…
