Single word – Awesome! I used a firestarter (another brand) for a campfire the first time this past summer. What have I been thinking bringing paper and kindling all this time? So, I went out and bought a few boxes of these and they work fantastic. You can put your small cut logs directly on these, lite the ‘paper’ (it is more like a plastic, but works the same), and these things will burn long and hot enough to get the logs on the fire going. They burn super hot for around 10 minutes I will never buy a fire starter log again!!!!!!!! I have never had one of these not result in a blazing fire in my fire pit. They burn super hot for around 10 minutes, which is all I need. So glad I found out about them. Just don’t mistake them for dishwasher soap!

way better than expected bought these about a week before a hike. It rained on the hike, then it rained some more, and finally….it rained. I had no hope for a camp fire at the end of the day, but really, had nothing to lose. I had brought these with me and put one under some wood which was wet. I should say that the internal part of each “log” was dry, so this was obviously key.
