The way to go when you need a fire fast. Made from compressed cedar sawdust and wax, they light quickly, even when wet. Each puck is scored to start 4 fires.

all you need is a small chunk broken off or carry two or three small chunks in your fire kit and you can start a fire very easil Took a spark from a Ferro Rod very well, all you need is a small chunk broken off or carry two or three small chunks in your fire kit and you can start a fire very easily.
Great stocking stuffer Got this as a stocking stuffer for my dad. He’s quite the survivalist and he loves to stockpile for the apocalypse, so this was a great item for him. It would also be perfect for someone who loves to camp. My dad thought it was terrific and immediately added it to his survival kit.
Not for starting from just a sparker It’s red tinted/dyed, like cedar, so it looks like an old “Gaines Burger” dog food puck from the 1970’s. Works pretty well. It’ll burn nicely, even when damp BUT it is not very good for starting from just sparks. Starts well from a match, lighter, flame, etc. Very hard to start from just a fire sparker even in controlled conditions. If you were wet, cold and near hypothermic I’d say it’d be impossible. Not very light either. I’d rather carry dryer lint and a Wet Fire cube or two…
