Heavy duty product. Worth the buy! Itâs awesome. Used it this past weekend for the first time and it worked great. My only request would be that the slanted edge on the striker was not only on the front tip but also along the sides since itâs easier to use the sides to strike.
Excellent Product Excellent product. It’s nice to have the “Steel” incorporated into the body rather than a loose piece of metal that can tear your gear or dig into your leg at an inopportune moment. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars…you can’t replace the rod, but you’ll get hundreds of fires out of it and it’s a great bargain.
Better than Bear Grills, but no homerun Pros- durable, quality, secure, angled stryker Cons-stiff to open, heavier than expected, larger than expected,stryker is exposed or without coating. It loses a star for being so stiff, i am no slouch , but had to opened it with a flat head and had to sand the inner section around the flint rod. It then opened and closed easily , but was still secure. I wish the styker was coated since it is exposed. I would recommed those who want to store a flint and steel against corrosion .
