Good value for the price Bought it. Got delivered promptly. Wired it up to 12v source. It worked as promised. No gripes. Good value for the price. Will build a small insulated box to cool. Would like to have a much bigger unit where I can wire up a thermostat. Would like to have a pre-wired Peltier cooling unit in 250-300 watt range.
Only problem is that it does not quite look like the picture – the screws are shorter and it … Does the job well. Only problem is that it does not quite look like the picture – the screws are shorter and it was not quite as easy to mount.It’s not a problem, but it is worth noting that the heat sink on the cooling side develops a fair amount of condensation; I have my fingers crossed hoping the fan will last, but I have not had any problems yet.
Worth it for the price, but not the best thing out there. The good:This came with a peltier chip, two fans and two heat sinks. It all came assembled together as one unit and the connection between the chips and the heat sinks was good and had thermoelectric paste. The chip itself gets plenty cold and hot on their respective sides.The bad:The heat sinks were slightly damaged and the screws that were holding the fans to the heat sinks are easy to knock off. Therefore the fans would fall off and could burn up the chip. I plan to drill…
